Your privacy is fundamental to Glauck. We collect only what's necessary to provide our service and we never sell your data. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

1. What Data We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the Service:

  • Account Information: Your email address, name (if provided), and your selected subscription plan (e.g., Free, Plus).
  • Payment Information: We do **not** collect or store your credit card details. Our Merchant of Record, Paddle, handles all payment processing securely.
  • User Content: The audio files you record or upload, and the resulting transcriptions and summaries ("Content"). We store this data so you can access it from your account.
  • Usage Analytics (Anonymous): We may collect anonymous data about how you interact with the Service (e.g., button clicks, features used) to help us fix bugs and improve the product. This data is never linked to your personal identity or your User Content.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively for these purposes:

  • To Provide the Service: To process your audio, generate transcripts/summaries, and display your Content back to you in your account.
  • To Manage Your Account: To handle billing, subscription renewals, and cancellations through Paddle.
  • To Communicate With You: To send important account updates, receipts, or respond to your support requests.
  • To Improve the Service: To analyze anonymous usage patterns and make Glauck better, faster, and more reliable.

We will never sell your personal data or your User Content to third parties. Period.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We only share data with essential third-party services that help us operate Glauck:

  • Paddle (Payments): We share your account email and plan details with Paddle to manage your subscription.
  • AI Model Providers: Your audio Content is sent to our third-party AI model providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or others) *solely* for the purpose of transcription and summarization. Our agreements with these providers prohibit them from using your data to train their models or for any purpose other than fulfilling our request.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, such as in response to a court order or subpoena.

4. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (SSL) and encryption at rest, to protect your information. While no system is 100% impenetrable, we work continuously to protect your data from unauthorized access.
